JAMES SEYMOUR BRETT

One Chance

The true story of Paul Potts, a shy, bullied shop assistant by day and an amateur opera singer by night who became a phenomenon after being chosen for — and ultimately winning — Britain’s Got Talent (2007).

Along with the team at Hothouse Music, James was asked to research, produce and arrange the pre-recorded music for this 2013 movie directed by David Frankl and starring James Corden.

Due to the operatic theme of the story there was a large amount of on screen music, with each scene throwing up unique challenges in terms of artistic performance and logistics. As such, James worked closely with the actors, director and Paul Potts himself – bridging the gap between recording studio, set and post production.
